Our History

The National Association of Women Solicitors (AWS) voted to join the new Women Lawyers Division of the Law Society, in a move intended to ensure that female lawyers benefit from more unified and influential representation in making the decisions that shape the future of the legal profession. Our regional group, The Merseyside, Chester and North Wales AWS, from April 2014, became the Merseyside Women's Lawyers Division (WLD).
